On July 6, 2019, “liangzhu ancient city ruins” in China was approved to be included in the world heritage list at the 43rd meeting of the world heritage committee. So far, the total number of world heritage sites in China has reached 55, ranking first in the world.
Among the 55 world heritage sites, 37 are world cultural heritage sites, 4 are world cultural and natural heritage sites and 14 are world natural heritage sites, ranking the first among the countries on the world heritage list.
