Forbes released the world’s top 2000 companies 2020

On May 13th, Forbes released its 18th list of the world’s top 2000 companies. This list analyzes the sales, profits, assets and market capitalization of enterprises to select the largest, most influential and most valuable enterprises in the world. This year, Industrial and Commercial Bank of China topped the list for the eighth consecutive year. China Construction Bank ranked second. J.p. Morgan chase & co., which was no. 2 last year, is no. 3 this year.

There are other Chinese companies at the top of the list, with the “Four big Banks” all making the top 10, including Agricultural Bank of China at no. 5 and Bank of China at no. 10. Among the top 10, Saudi aramco is listed for the first time this year, sharing fifth place with Agricultural Bank of China. Other companies in the top 10: Berkshire hathaway (no. 4), Ping an of China (no. 7), Bank of America (no. 8) and Apple (no. 9).

Across the world, the United States has the largest number of companies on the list, 588; A total of 367 Chinese companies in the list, with 266 from the mainland, 58 from Hong Kong and 43 from Taiwan. Japan, the UK and Canada each had 217,  77 and 61 companies on the list. China Mobile, China Telecom and China Unicom ranked 28th, 174th and 287th respectively, while Alibaba ranked 31st and Tencent ranked 50th.
