2019 world’s 500 most valuable brand, 77 Chinese companies in list

According to Brand Finance’s 2019 global 500 report, American brands worth $3.1242 trillion, accounting 45.4% of the total value of global 500. Chinese brands worth $1.3074 trillion, accounting for 19% of the top 500 total, second only to America. Japan ranked third with 6.1%, Germany fourth (5.8%), France fifth (4.5%), and the UK sixth (3.3%). Brands from other countries and regions accounted for 15.8%.


China’s World Heritage sites reached 55, ranking first in the world

On July 6, 2019, “liangzhu ancient city ruins” in China was approved to be included in the world heritage list at the 43rd meeting of the world heritage committee. So far, the total number of world heritage sites in China has reached 55, ranking first in the world.

Among the 55 world heritage sites, 37 are world cultural heritage sites, 4 are world cultural and natural heritage sites and 14 are world natural heritage sites, ranking the first among the countries on the world heritage list.

Top 100 Universities of QS World University Rankings 2019

The QS World University Rankings 2019, released by Quacquarelli Symonds, put the Massachusetts institute of technology on top for the seventh straight year.

China has totally 11 universities in the world’s top 100, accounting No.3, after United States and United Kingdom. Tsinghua University topping the list of Chinese universities at number 17 and Peking University at number 30.
